Skyper, Frankfurt am Main

The Skyper project in Frankfurt am Main comprises three building sections: With its 154-metre high-rise tower, the refurbished historic Holzmann Villa and the 6-storey residential and commercial building with shops, the Skyper Tower is famous well beyond Frankfurt’s city limits. The task assigned to the architects JSK Architekten for the construction of the Skyper Tower was clear: This must be a landmark high-rise building which also blends into existing developments and harmonises with the listed buildings on site. The curved form of the Skyper Tower references the urban and architectural nature of the existing development on site.

The ABG Real Estate Group was instructed as general contractor by the end investor Deka Immobilien-Investment to continue to develop the site and manage the project. This undertaking involved upgrading the building services, creating a single-layer façade with opening windows and using geothermal installations as the energy source to comply with sustainability requirements.
