Green Campus, Cologne

Location | Cologne, Oskar-Jäger-Straße
Usage | Office
Space | Approx. 46.000 qm
Planning | ingenhoven associates, Düsseldorf
Completion | 2030

The Green Campus in Cologne serves as a link between the Ehrenfeld and Lindenthal districts and represents a neighborhood development aimed at enhancing quality of life and modern office work environments.

The site is transformed into a sustainable campus through urban design. Short distances and a mix of spaces that ensure high-quality experiences create a new meeting place as a model for the future. The 1.4-hectare plot will feature an office campus with three standalone, terraced buildings. These are interconnected by innovative pathways, green spaces, play areas, activity zones, and other gathering spaces, forming the Green Campus as a whole.

The construction aims for a sustainable and climate-resilient design, with robust yet flexible building structures intended for long-term durability. Quality architecture, site enhancement, and sustainability harmonize within the Green Campus. The green rooftops with recreational areas are designed to promote biodiversity and feature photovoltaic systems. The mobility concept includes a mobility hub in the underground garage, bike racks, EV charging stations, and integration of cyclists and pedestrians through an efficient pathway system.

The project is focused on meeting ESG criteria, taxonomy requirements, and aims for a DGNB Platinum certification.
