- Further expansion of investment and asset management services
- Prime property in Dresden
- Grand hotel with 211 rooms and suites
Frankfurt, 24 September 2025 – ABG Real Estate Group has been entrusted with the asset management of another landmark property: the listed Taschenbergpalais in Dresden, comprising around 26,000 sqm of lettable space. With this mandate, the company is further expanding its investment and asset management services for institutional clients.
Taschenbergpalais is a baroque building dating from the 18th century. Destroyed during the Second World War, it was faithfully reconstructed after German reunification and converted into a five-star grand hotel in 1995. Since then, it has been operated by Kempinski and offers 211 rooms and suites, along with extensive event and spa facilities. It is also home to the renowned restaurant Kastenmeiers.
In addition to the grand hotel, seven complementary third-party units have been let to exclusive gastronomy and retail concepts such as jeweller Leicht, Paulaner and Sophienkeller. Following extensive refurbishment, the property reopened in 2024.
With its location between the Semperoper, the Zwinger and the Frauenkirche, Taschenbergpalais is regarded as a prime landmark property in the German hotel market. The owner is an institutional investor.
