The Living Isar development is comprised of a new residential complex in the district of Munich-Untergiesing. The site of the former Osram works (32,000 m²) is now home to 423 apartments (of which approx. 100 are publicly subsidised), commercial space and two daycare centres. The linear design by Berlin-based architects Ortner + Ortner Baukunst uses classical modern architecture to create fascinating sight lines and the maximum level of natural daylight thanks to the juxtaposition of the building sections. The complex offers a unique and open character, unparalleled in Munich.
The central landscaped area within Living Isar is located beside the floodplains of the River Isar and creates a spacious open area between the building zones, offering a high degree of amenity value.
