Munich, 2 October 2025 – For two weeks, BARER24 at Barer Straße 24 in Munich will open its doors to art enthusiasts: from 10 to 26 October 2025, the renowned Munich platform BAODT Art will stage its 24th pop-up gallery there. Spread over two floors, the exhibition will showcase works by around 30 contemporary artists, including Valerie Cee, Pepi Erdbories, Poppy Fetzner, Alexander Höller, Ortwin Klipp, Zdenek Konvalina, Maximilian Magnus, Cevin Parker, Alex Turco and Anna van den Hövel.
The gallery will be open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm and on Sundays from 12 noon to 5 pm. A public vernissage will take place on 10 October at 7 pm, with the finissage following on 24 October at the same time. Admission is free.
This cultural interim use of the centrally located property, situated between Karolinenplatz and the Pinakothek, is made possible by the ABG Real Estate Group. Commissioned exclusively by a German institutional investor as asset manager, ABG is responsible for the repositioning, redevelopment and letting of the listed building. The six-storey office property, constructed in 1955, comprises around 6,300 sqm of total lettable area (GFA).
“With the pop-up gallery at BARER24, we are opening up a striking Munich building to the city’s community. Cultural interim uses such as this build bridges between art, architecture and the public, while at the same time showcasing the potential of a property – potential we will unlock in the coming months through redevelopment,” says Christian Bock, Managing Director, Investment and Asset Management at ABG Real Estate Group.
“The exhibition at BARER24 combines a wide variety of artistic forms and perspectives with a unique architectural context. Using a former bank building as an exhibition space for established and emerging artists lends the works a distinctive atmosphere while simultaneously bringing new life into the rooms. We are looking forward to engaging directly with visitors,” add BAODT Art founders Alessandra Hampel and Raphaela Lindlbauer.
The façade of BARER24, newly accentuated in red, yellow and gold by ABG Real Estate Group in consultation with the heritage authorities, already signals the transformation the building will undergo in the coming months. With planning permission secured, construction works to comprehensively modernise and reposition the existing office spaces will begin after the exhibition closes.
