Dusseldorf, 4 March 2020 – Dusseldorf-based bema and ABG Real Estate Group have acquired Boston Scientific Medizintechnik GmbH as a second long-term tenant for the SMART OFFICE business location at Dusseldorf Air-port.
The German sales company of US-based Boston Scientific Corporation is expected to receive an area of about 4,500 sqm on the third floor of both parts of the building and on parts of the second floor of the SMART OFFICE. Furthermore, 101 parking spaces are expected to be rented. This means that around 7,540 sqm and 172 parking spaces (more than 50%) of the available 14,370 sqm office space and 314 parking spaces of the SMART OFFICE development have already been let under long-term contracts. The entire fourth floor with around 3,000 sqm was already rented to Intersnack Group GmbH & Co. KG in summer 2019. Approximately 6,830 sqm office space and 142 parking spaces are therefore still available for rent.
Estate agents CBRE acted as an intermediary for both parties. The landlord’s legal advisor was law firm Rotthege Wassermann, whilst the tenant was advised by Baker McKenzie.
About the SMART OFFICE project:
Construction work started in September 2019, currently the structural works are well under way. The SMART OFFICE has already been awarded a DGNB “Gold” pre-certificate and a WIRED SCORE “Gold” certificate.
