ABG: Operational launch of the BERLINERHAUS property in Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg/Frankfurt/Main, 12 October 2022 – With the completion of the office space, developments at Wolfsburg's BERLINERHAUS are moving up a gear. The building's owner, a joint venture between ABG Real Estate Group, which is active throughout Germany, and Wolfsburg-based family business Hecker GmbH, has just let around 330 sqm of office space on the sixth storey of the building to Hyundai Transys Inc. The rental contract also includes seven parking spaces. Handover to the tenant is planned to take place in a few weeks, just before Christmas. The Korean automotive supplier is a pioneering global specialist for powertrain technologies and car seating components, and intends to locate a research and development unit in the premises. Hyundai Transys is also one of VW's key cooperation partners.

ABG let around 8,000 sqm for approximately 260 rooms in the BERLINERHAUS property to the international hotel operator Premier Inn at the end of 2020. Just across the Berlin Bridge from VW Group's AUTOSTADT, the hotel opened its doors to guests in the early summer of this year.

A reminder: Wolfsburg's BERLINERHAUS

The elegant 45-metre BERLINERHAUS office tower sports a delicate metal and glass façade. Three attractive, two-storey 'sky lounges' offer visitors a unique view of the AUTOSTADT and Wolfsburg Castle. Twelve full storeys provide approximately 6,700 sqm of flexible office space for future tenants, within walking distance of the city centre and the main station. The complex is completed by two transverse five-storey blocks for the Premier Inn hotel, situated on two-storey pedestals. The hotel offers 260 rooms on around 8,000 sqm of rental space. Around 170 car parking spaces are available.

To make the BERLINERHAUS project a reality, ABG Real Estate Group – with more than fifty years of experience in spectacular landmark developments at Germany's prime locations – joined forces with the long-established Wolfsburg-based and family-run Hecker GmbH, who brought profound local expertise to create a perfect match. Architectural firm Stauth Architekten was commissioned with the planning of the project.
