Hamburg, 20. September 2019. ABG Group has delivered the hotel part of its project development “KONRAD” to the operator. Wiesbaden based Bierwirth & Kluth Management GmbH had opened the Courtyard by Marriot branded guesthouse at Adenauer Allee yesterday in test mode. The four star hotel with 277 rooms aims primarily at business and leisure travellers. Thanks to its vicinity to the city centre as well as a good transportation connection, operator Bierwirth & Kluth expects an occupancy rate of 75,000 stays and 80,000 guests per year. The comfortable rooms impress with design and offer a modern home for a time. At the restaurant “Böckmann’s – Daily food market” guests can order regional and seasonal specialities from fresh, high quality and sustainable production. Fresh highlights changing on a weekly basis, a Tatar Bar and the “Courtyard Classics with a twist” add to the menu. Furthermore the Hotel’s Bar offers the right framework to let the evening fade away with a drink or a cup of coffee in a cosy atmosphere.
ABG developed the ensemble consisting of a Hotel and a Residential part on a 4,100 m² plot in Hamburg’s St. Georg district. The project came to be near the city centre and the central station with approximately 23,000 m² gross floor area above ground and 175 underground parking slots, following architectural plans by Störmer Murphy and Partners, Hamburg. Besides the seven storey hotel a 60m high residential tower is part of the ensemble and offers room for around 113 apartments ranging from 25 to 100 m² in size.
The construction works are being carried out by W. MARKGRAF GmbH and had started in the third quarters of 2016. In May 2018 Zurich Group Germany purchased “KONRAD” in a forward deal from ABG Group. Thee month later in August the project partners where able to celebrate the topping out. Construction works are planned to finish in September 2019.
