Wolfsburg / Frankfurt/Main, 6 December 2023 – ABG Real Estate Group and Hecker GmbH, owners of the BERLINERHAUS office tower on Wolfsburg's Mittelland Canal via a joint venture, have announced that Senacor Technologies AG and Adastra GmbH have moved into the building. ABG Real Estate Group is active throughout Germany, whilst Hecker GmbH is a Wolfsburg-based family-owned business. Automotive consultancy firm Senacor, which specialises in marketing, sales/aftersales, vehicle development and e-commerce, has rented around 330 sqm on the fifth floor of BERLINERHAUS. Adastra, an IT consultancy and service provider for industrial automation solutions, has taken around 285 sqm on the first floor. Furthermore, medium-sized consultancy and software developer DOS has now extended its tenancy by an additional 330 sqm on the second floor of the building, on top of approximately 1,275 sqm (on the third and fourth floors) it already rented in February 2023. The move has brought together all of the company’s Wolfsburg offices in BERLINERHAUS.
With Senacor and Adastra moving in and DOS expanding its floor space, more than 70 per cent of the office space has already been let in the iconic property, located almost next door to Volkswagen AG and its AUTOSTADT experience centre. Earlier this year, IT and digital services provider T-Systems, a subsidiary of DAX constituent Deutsche Telekom AG, took up approximately 2,250 sqm in BERLINERHAUS to locate experts from its automotive division, working on topics such as automotive software, connected cars, digital customer experience, and secure cloud computing. T-Systems moved into the building at the end of November 2023. Finally, over the last few months Korean automotive supplier Hyundai Transys Inc. has also moved into BERLINERHAUS, establishing a 330 sqm research and development department on the sixth floor. Back in late 2020, the joint venture between ABG Real Estate Group and Hecker GmbH had already let approximately 8,000 sqm of space to international hotel operator Premier Inn within the BERLINERHAUS property. Premier Inn opened its doors to guests early in the summer of 2022. With its central location, good connections, attractive surroundings and flexible spaces, BERLINERHAUS facilitates all forms of "New Work".

A reminder: Wolfsburg's BERLINERHAUS
The elegant 45-metre BERLINERHAUS office tower sports a delicate metal and glass façade. Three attractive, two-storey 'sky lounges' and a rooftop terrace offer visitors a unique view of the AUTOSTADT and Wolfsburg Castle. Twelve full storeys provide approximately 6,700 sqm of flexible office space for future tenants, facilitating all forms of ‘new work’ within walking distance of the city centre and the main station. The complex is completed by two transverse five-storey blocks for the Premier Inn hotel, which sit on two-storey pedestals. The hotel offers 260 rooms on around 8,000 sqm of rental space. The building has around 170 car parking spaces.
To make the BERLINERHAUS project a reality, ABG Real Estate Group – with more than fifty years of experience in spectacular landmark developments at Germany's prime locations – joined forces with the long-established Wolfsburg-based and family-run Hecker GmbH, who brought profound local expertise to create a perfect match. Architectural firm Stauth Architekten was commissioned with the planning of the project.
In 2022 the BERLINERHAUS was awarded the prestigious LEED 'Gold' certificate to reflect implementation of innovative sustainable concepts for the entire property during project planning and realisation. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, was established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and is the most widely used green building rating system around the globe. The BERLINERHAUS building complex received LEED 'Gold' certification for its implementation of innovative sustainable concepts during project planning and realisation.
