Cologne, 7 March 2019. ABG Group has acquired a property 6,900 m² in size in Cologne’s Ehrenfeld district. Currently an existing building and parking spaces are present on the plot. After all tenants have moved out, ABG Group plans to develop and upgrade the premise.
“Since some time now Ehrenfeld has been one of the most aspiring districts in
Cologne – a lot has changed here already”, Marcus Müller ,General Manager Cologne of ABG Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft, explains. “With our Ideas we are trying to further upgrade the district.” ABG plans to discuss the exact development opportunities, in detail with the City of Cologne. “We are right now evaluating the most promising concepts for developing the location. While doing so, we are taking into account the zoning plan as well as the current market situation. At this location a hotel of different brands or an office building in line with the market’s and location’s needs might be suitable”, Müller says.
On the former plot of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie at Gustav-Heinemann-Ufer in Cologne, ABG Group already developed an office and living complex in the past. The project’s highlight is the 50 m residential tower in its centre.
